THE STORY
Voices from the Silenced offers a deeply human portrayal of women who faced the dangers of illegal abortions and societal stigma in the era before 1973. Playwright/activists Martha Boesing and Victoria Rue shaped their one-act play around the powerful testimonies of women who had abortions before Roe v Wade and created a powerful inspiring call to action in the ongoing fight for reproductive rights.
